From special events to the offerings of clubs and local volunteer organizations, members are given ample opportunity to enjoy themselves, meet others, and give back to the community. Below are a few of our club and volunteering opportunities. Clubs Clubs are a great way to meet other Belfair members. With over 20 organized clubs, you are sure to find other members who share your interests. Listed below are a few of the groups to give you insight into the diverse interests of Belfair members. Golf Belfair Women's Golf Association (BMGA) Belfair Men's Golf Association (BWGA) Private Club Exchange Senior Men's Golf Association Women's Lowcountry Golf Association Bible Study Book Club Bridge (from beginners to experts) Belfair Men's Breakfast Club Community Volunteers Dinner Group Garden Club Lunch Bunch Tennis Theater Group Women's Connection Volunteering The generosity of Belfair members reaches far beyond the gates of our community. Members not only support each other in times of need, but they actively give of their time and their talent to help others throughout the Lowcountry through various local volunteer programs. Here is a sample of volunteer opportunities in which Belfair members actively participate: Players Amateur Tournament - Annually, over 100 members volunteer to assist in our nationally ranked 4-day amateur tournament played on the West Course. Members also financially support this event with all proceeds being donated to local charities. Habitat for Humanity - In Spring 2004, Belfair members raised over $40,000 and built their first home for a local family. Volunteers in Medicine - Members volunteer and serve on the Board and Belfair hosts an annual golf tournament for this organization that strives to provide physicians, nurses and administrative assistance to those in need of health care. Boys & Girls Clubs - Members volunteer, serve on the Board, and financially support this organization that offers supervised educational and recreational after-school activities. Belfair Committees - Volunteer committee members assist the Belfair Board of Directors and General Management in club governance, projects and recommendations.
